8.–12. augustini toimub Kuressaare kolledžis Euroopa Tuumauuringute Keskuse (CERN) Balti doktorikool, kus lektoritena saavad sõna maailma tuntud füüsikud, kuulajateks on aga doktorandid.

Lisaks on plaanis korraldada õhtuülikool kõigile, keda huvitavad nüüdisaja füüsikaprobleemid ja füüsika seosed meie igapäevaeluga.
